The second Issue of the Journal of Adult Education is launched at a time when communities on the African continent and beyond continue to experience difficult, and often extremely harsh, socioeconomic issues. We live in a time of unprecedented climate change which is affecting farmers worldwide and limiting food production. In addition to this, the war in Ukraine has had a devastating impact on supplies and prices globally.
We've receieved some early photos from the 17th PASCAL Conference taking place in Taipei. Looking great, the stage featured in the photos includes the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Taipei, current/former ministers of Education, as well as Josef Konvitz, Honorary Professor of Education at the University of Glasgow with them.
Dr Heather Mackay (Lund University) will present findings from research into female farmers' access to advice and training in the Global South. This will be followed by an opportunity for round-table discussion and exploration of possible collaborations. This event is co-hosted with the University of Glasgow's Sustainability Interdisciplinary Research Theme.
