Details
This webinar will disseminate findings of the ESRC project ‘A UK-Ireland investigation into the statistical evidence-base underpinning adult learning and education policy-making’. We will present analyses undertaken on data from the Learning and Work Institute’s annual Adult Participation in Learning (APiL) Survey. The presentation will focus on trends in the United Kingdom between 2002 and 2023, andinvestigate patterns of participation for adults between the ages of 25 and 64.
Our findings will provide insights on trends in participation, learning intentions and motivations, barriers preventing participation and systemic characteristics that correlate with participation rates. The webinar is targeted towards policymakers at national and local levels, practitioners, researchers, and adult learners and welcomes everyone interested in adult learning and education.
