Adult Learning Australia invites you to celebrate adults who have connected with learning and changed their lives at the Adult Learners Week 2022 launch on 1 September.

For those of you who haven't yet reserved your tickets they are now available for the Standing Conference on University Teaching and Research in the Education of Adults (SCUTREA) and the Universities Association for Lifelong Learning (UALL) joint conference to be held from June 6th - 9th 2022 hosted by the University of Glasgow’s Centre for Research & Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning (CR&DALL).

Many will have met Alan in person, and many more through his extensive writing. For several decades he was a key figure globally on issues related to literacy and non-formal education, lifelong learning and adult education and their relationship to transformation and development.
This is the title of a new Expert Paper which has been published by DVV International. It is based on a study looking at theoretical implications as well as practical experiences, especially from the cooperation with partners worldwide.
We are pleased to offer to subscribers the lastest CR&DALL Briefing Paper published jointly with the PASCAL Observatory, Learning with and from refugees: adult education to strengthen inclusive societies, written by Dr Maria Grazia Imperiale and Professor Bonnie Slade.
On 29 March 2022 CR&DALL arranged an internal seminar concerning CONFINTEA and GRALE at the University of Glasgow led by Professor Heribert Hinzen and Professor Ellen Boeren. We are now making the presentations and recording available to a wider audience since we think it provides excellent background material of wide interest on policy-making processes in adult education.
This volume provides an in-depth analysis of historical and recent developments of senior learning in Taiwan, where publications in English have been scant. It takes a broader view on lifelong learning and active ageing from a theoretical/conceptual base written by prominent international authors- this represents the ‘outside in’ perspective. The ‘inside out’ on the other hand signifies an in-depth investigation of initiatives written by authors from Taiwan who are closely involved with developments in policy and practice.
Welcoming VET experts from all over Europe, policy-makers, social partners, researchers and VET providers, Cedefop Executive Director Jürgen Siebel pointed out that ‘entrepreneurship competence creates value for others, innovation, inclusion and sustainable development, a must-have key competence for all. In VET this refers to learners, teachers, trainers, school managers and others.’
